And the THIEVES are at it again

Another posting from the same person who called Merchant Lynx

"The thieves". After they agreed not to take any more money from

my account they waited 3 months and again removed $139.00,

supposedly for my annual fee. After numerous phone calls to

Merchant Lynx and their cohorts I Payment, after explaining again

that I'm not, never was and never will be their customer I was

told that they will refund my money, but I have to wait 30 days.

I will wait the 30 days and will post my results. Again, stay

AWAY from these liars and thieves.

Merchantlynx must be running a fraudulent business. I recently became a victim of their deception too.

There is a definitely a pattern of illegal practice here. I would like to know if anybody has found solutions to any of their problems.

A class action law suit is definitely an idea. We may need to start by filing a formal complaint with each state attorney general's office where they operate.

Merchant lynx Services is a a very good comapny that has been in the processing buissness for 16 years. Never had a problem with there service.

Ther Sales rep was great and the installer they sent out was very helpful.

Maybe you all should have read the whole contact before signing up. What's the harm in reading before you sign.

Merchant Lynx Thieves

Do NOT sign up with them, do Not even let one of their lyeing

salesman in your door. I have been in business for 32 years

and never met bigger liar than Mike Lindenman, their salesman

in Westchester county, New York.If you want more details about

this company and their dishonest practices you can email me at ggladme@***.com If you think you are to smart to fall for their

lies, I taught so too. Mike Lindenman fill their papers and

even thou I never sign up with them, never received anything

from them, they issued me merchant number and started to take

money out of my account. I pay my bank to place stop payment

on future withdrawals of money by them from my account, next

month they used different number to get into my account again

and steal more money. Stay away from this thieves.

Absolutely flabbergasted.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My family took over an existing lease for a little cafe in April 2018. Since this cafe operated mostly on credit cards, we also had to sign a Lease Transfer Agreement with FDGL, a Credit Card Processing company. Signing the transfer agreement meant that we were taking on the existing lease for the CC processing machine that was already in the cafe, and that all payments made on that machine would file into our bank account, instead of the previous owners.

Merchant Lynx Services (MLS) sent a representative (Richard) from one of their branches to oversee the paperwork and create the transfer agreement. It seemed seamless enough, and we were soon receiving CC payments from customers in our business' bank account.

A few weeks later, Richard arrived to inform us that there was an error in our Lease Transfer Agreement with FDGL, and that we would have to sign a new lease with a new CC processing company, Ascentium. We did not quite understand the details, and Richard could not provide any more, but we trusted him and most importantly could not afford any hiccups with our CC payments, as the majority of our income was based on CCs.

A few weeks later, we noticed that we were getting monthly charges from both FDGL and Ascenitum. We called Richard multiple times, and he assured us that things were fine, that this was all normal, and that it would all right itself in the end. He eventually stopped responding to our calls, and I later discovered he was no longer employed at MLS.

I called Merchant Lynx's customer service team to explain the situation: that we had been accidentally led to sign up for two leases, and that we only needed one. And that we had never even received the CC terminal from Ascentium that we were apparently leasing!

They agreed that there was a mistake. The ML team even confirmed that even though we were paying for both terminals, we only had one. That we had never received the Ascentium terminal, nor had there ever been a charge processed on it. I called nearly every day from late Oct 2018 to the end of Nov 2018 to ask about the status of our case. I eventually reached the team's supervisor, Sam, and a local rep for MLS, Robert. Both Sam and Robert agreed that there had been a mistake made, that they would cancel the lease with Ascentium on our behalf, and reimburse us for the charges Ascentium had made from May through Nov.

Unfortunately, the cafe’s landlord shut down our cafe mid-November to renovate, and we are now out of business. I kept in touch with Robert, as I was told he would be my point of contact from here on out, since this oversight occurred in one of the local branches. Robert confirmed that MLS would reimburse us the monthly fees (at this point totaling 416.89) and handle the extra Ascentium lease (balance of 1504.90).

Since early December, Robert been completely ignoring me and no longer provides any updates. Late January, after repeated attempts to contact Robert, I sought out a local attorney in GA to draft a letter on our behalf, asking MLS to simply act on what they had initially promised us: reimbursement for the Ascentium charges, and to cancel the extra lease they had inadvertently signed us up for.

My attorney received a call from John Kucyk, the CEO of MLS soon afterwards. He told her that MLS is under no obligation to pay us for anything, and that we signed the additional lease on our own volition.

I have evidence (texts, recorded calls, emails) that prove several members of his team agreed that this was MLS's mistake and promising us that they would reimburse and cancel the lease. Furthermore, I have evidence that MLS provided false dates about when we received the equipment (they claim we received in May, we did not receive until Dec).

My family would have never sought out an additional lease (the cafe was tiny, and only operated by a small team of 3: my mother, father, and I), and we would have never signed on for another terminal, as it was unnecessary. We only signed the second lease because Richard told us that the Lease Transfer Agreement for the original terminal did not go through.

Secondly, John Kucyk claims that the only fees his team agreed to reimburse were two $15 charges that occurred in December and January, after we had cancelled our agreement with his company in Nov. This is a blatant lie, as there would have been no reason for us to discuss future withdrawals that would occur after our contract was terminated! Why would we discuss accidental withdrawals from our account with his team, and how would they predict that this would happen twice? Furthermore, WHY ARE WE CONTINUOUSLY GETTING MONTHLY FEES AFTER WE'VE CANCELLED?

I will be happy to share evidence with if needed. My family has not been financially stable since the cafe was closed in Nov, so we do not have the money to spend on any more attorneys, and monthly withdrawals are still being processed from both Ascentium and Merchant Lynx.

Thank you for your time, I know that this explanation was a lengthy one.

Don't sign up with Merchantlynx!!!

The salesperson from Merchantlynx told me to switch from my original company (Federated) to his company and We had an agreement that Merchantlynx was going to pay the early termination fee as a result of it. Now, the people from Merchantlynx told me that there was no such agreement and I was not able to reach this salesperson whose name is David McCurdy.

I think we should all come together and file a lawsuit against this company. David McCurdy should be jailed too. Don't sign up with Merchantlynx because the salesperson tells you that the company works with Wellsfargo. Jail David McCurdy!

Shame On him! Jail him!

we signed up for services back in 2009, during the set up process, I didn't like the way something worked, so we cancelled. It was no easy feat to cancel, I remember.

Now this has come back to haunt us in Feb. 2012. An un-authorized withdrawal was made from an old checking account that we no longer use for $110.50 by "Merchant Lynx Ad". It came to my attention because it overdrew our account that we were just keeping enough money in to keep the account open.

The bank provided me with the phone number for the company and I have now called about six times, each time being promised a call back. No one has called back even though each time I call they claim that they escalate the urgency of the matter...

US Bank says they can't dispute the type of transaction it was and recommends that I close the account, but doesn't offer a reimbursement of funds. Today I am sending a certified letter to the Georgia address, and contacting the local police.

Steve A Msp

We were lied to by Merchantlynx in Maryland as well. There is definitely a pattern of deception here based on all the testimonials.

I'm surprised that no legal action has been taken yet. This company is definitely doing fraudulent business.

Please contact me if you have come with any solutions. Perhaps joining in a law suit is the way to go.

Guest

most of these complaints start one way, but end with some long story that doesnt make sense.

Guest

We had previously processed with Merchant Lynx and quit because of being overcharged all the time. In February 2010, headquarters contacted us, wanted our business back.

Signed up again, this time with everything explicitly spelled out in the contract - and still being overcharged every month and only refunded partial. After 4 months ML owes us $ 292.59 in overcharges.

To cut this misery short - we cancelled the accounts today. We don't have the time to calculate their mistakes on every statement and then call/write to get the refund, wait one month on the refund, just to be overcharged again next month.

Guest

I was lied to by Merchant Lynx as well... I was told by Roxanne Coker that I was entering a 12month trial period.

and when she sent me the paperwork it was for 48 months, needless to say her phone was disconnected by the end of the same week that I signed up with their service. I am now disputing collection charges of over $6,000 dollars from this Merchant Lynx fiasco.

Another small business scammed

I recently signed on with merchant lynx and Im already being scammed. The fees are ridiculous.

overcharged application fees, supposed to be refunded, never happened, fees are not even what they should be. The representative that signed me up gives me the runaround everytime I talk to them. This person tells me they are going to help me with the problems, but nothing ever gets done and I never get called back. This is someone in charge which makes it unbelievable.

I totally regret ever going with this company. stay away it is a total ripoff. The lease for the machine is a scam also.

It isn't worth it. This will be an expensive lesson.

Merchant lynx services bait and switch

We signed with merchant lynx because of a great quoted rate. Then the statements arrived and all the charges related to those charges.

Endless fees and charges for every event, charges that were 2 and 3 times what was quoted for corporate accounts or rewards accounts, sometimes 5% additional for a charge. 40.00 a month to accept checks. 10.00 for this and 20.00 for that . A quoted rate was the bait with almost no charges at that rate, huge fees for each activity accessed.

minimum discount fee for 25.00 service fee 5.00, discounts on cards of up to 6% with a promised rate of 1.99% and customer service that alone would make a sane man crazy. Include a 250.00 fee to cancel the service that they charge twice because they say I have two accounts when only one was created.

It is truly worth 500.00 never to have to deal with them again. Please fo your own mental and financial sake do not contemplate doing business with these crooks, it is a very frustrating and a very expensive lesson.

Merchant Lynx doesn't honor contracts, is difficult to work with.

The Merchant Lynx's salesman promises great rates. He even gave me a contract that clearly states that the annual fee would be waived, as well as an early termination fee. They have collected the annual fee every year! No amount of calling gets you anywhere, except to a surly customer service person. One of them simply hung up on me.

Over the years, new fees have been added. They always say that is something they "have no control over." The last one was "in order to protect and secure cardholder data." They said all other companies were charging this fee. I then contacted other companies and showed them the letter I had received. None had any idea of what Merchant Lynx was talking about.

I contacted the Merchant Lynx to find out how to cancel with them. They said I had to fill in a specific form. They couldn't fax it to me because their fax machine was broken, but eventually they did email it to me. I then spent two days trying unsuccessfully to fax it back to them. I emailed my contact and was told to email the form since their fax remained broken.

I then signed up with a new company (a bank, and opened a checking account with them, as well. They will even refund me any additional fees Merchant Lynx takes before the cancellation goes into effect!). I did leave my old bank account open for 6 weeks and then closed that account. Two weeks later I got a collection letter from iPayment, which collects for Merchant Lynx. I called that day. The collection company said they had no record of the account being closed, but that this sort of problem was common! They would have a "higher up" from Merchant Lynx call me within 24-48 hours. Of course, no one called. I called back 3 days later and the new person said they would see to it that someone would call me. No one did.

Finally, 2 weeks after I contacted the collection company, someone called. I had a client with me and said I'd call back in about an hour. I did so. The extension the guy gave me was a general voicemail box, not his specifically. That was 4 days ago. He's hasn't called back. I then called Merchant Lynx and got the name of someone to write to. We'll see where that gets me.

Simply put: Do Not Sign with Merchant Lynx. You'll be unhappy, if you do, and you'll end up wasting lots of time trying to interact with them and generally get no where.

Harrasment

Merchant Lynx Services has been phoning me and harrassing me because I have phone number previously used by one of their merchants and apparently that person owes them money. I have asked repeatedly for this to stop but they continue to call looking for the person and have been beligerent to me.

I am sick and tired of receiving their phone calls.

I have asked nicely to have this stopped but the calls continue.

If this is how they treat strangers I can just imagine how they treat their merchants.

There should be laws preventing this type of harrasment. I would never do business with these people.

Merchant Lynx - Don't sign with them

Like an *** I did not take time to really read the contract. As everyone states, the fees are horrible and the contract for the equipment is ridiculous.

Tell everyone you can to stay away from this company!

They send reps who are the slickest cons. I don't know how they live with themselves after they sign someone up.

I can't believe that I am going to end up paying more than $3,000 for a credit card machine, and then have to buy it out for a minimum of 10%. If you are having a busy day, don't let them in your business because you will make a hasty decision that you will regret.

Merchant Lynx Services is a most dishonest company. The sales rep who contacted my company made a completely unbelievable offer.

When I checked behind her calculations, I found two huge errors, for which she apologized and then did some fast talking - changing the subject trying to be sociable, anything to be distracting. Unfortunately I signed the contract, but within two hours of her leaving my office, I called the rep and told her not to submit the contract - she claimed she had already faxed it to her hme office. She refused to call and stop the process. It has taken two months and several letters & phones calls, but the account is to be closed this month.

MLS will not refund the minimum fees drafted from our business account, even though they never processed a single transaction for our business. I know the sales rep from MLS that I dealt with was slick, fast talking, and dishonest.

From what I have read on this site and others, all the MLS sales reps have those same qualities. I hope other business people will take heed and stay away from Merchant Lynx Services.

We need a class action suit to hold Merchant Lynx and their Reps accountable for lying

There has got to be a way to stop this company from scamming people out of their hard earned money and work. They have the power over your bank account and can take your money for fees that you did not have explained to you at the onset.

Then you do not have a contract for waiting on the snail mail to get it to you. By the time you know what hit you, you are are bound by a 4 yr lease on a machine that you were paying for thinking it was just while you were with the processor.

SHAME ON YOU MERCHANT LYNX SERVICES!!!

All I can say is God have mercy on all of you involved. You may have scammed us but someday it will catch up with you.

I pity all of you for scamming another hard working American!

I'm another cheated consumer, stuck with a disgusting company like Merchant Lynx. The rep came to my showroom, and told me I had a 30-day trial period.

After that, I was able to speak with that rep only once, then he vanished. Never responded to my phone calls, the company said too bad, no such clause in your contract. You are stuck with us for 4 years, during which we will rip you for allyou are worth. I am going to make a list of all the fraud things they have done in my business dealings with them.

How does one find out how to file a class suit action against a company such as this? They should not be allowed to do this? I'm interviewing another company to switch from Merchant Lynx finally and I will find out if they give me some more details. Let's not just vent our grievances, let's do it and STOP THIS COMPANY and have it shut down.

When I did not send them the defective c/c machine back to them within their stipulated 10 day period (because I was out of town and UPS kept forgetting to pick up the package), they charged my bank account $1200 and held on to that money for 2 months, so I could not dump them and move to another company. That's one more.

I think we all need to make a list of all the problems with this company, and their disguting business practices. Every morning I wake up cursing the day I pick up the phone when Tim Taylor called me to request an appointment.

Merchant Lynx Services are wolves in sheeps clothing

Never do business with this company period. They seemed so honest.

They/she duped me into a 4 year lease letting me believe I was renting the equipment for a monthly fee. Even after I explained my passed experiences. The Rep. tried to make "friends" with me.

I thought we hit it off on a friendship...... "She" Said they would save me money......I have lost money! We are a non-profit ministry and of course that did not matter. How can the their REPS.

We cancelled our service with them 04-2010 at the end of our contract. All equipment was returned.

This company has continued to deduct $10.00 monthly from our business checking account. Numerous phone calls have been placed to this company requesting they STOP. All to no avail. For over 8 years these people have stolen from our checking account on a monthly basis.

We have no way to stop them as they are on automatic withdrawal. Numerous employees have all agreed YES the charges are in error, they have given multiple excuses for WHY they cannot stop withdrawing the money.

Their best solution is for us to close a business account and open a new one! CROOKS, LIARS AND THIEVES!!!

Merchant Lynxs terrible service

I to as a small business was taken in by Merchant Lynxs, however, I closed my accounts within a 2 month period and indicated they had no permission to access my checking account. If they should I will proceed with Fraud charges against them. I also told them we would go to our Attorney General's office.

I had a contract with no lease terms and they are trying to keep it at 48 months. However, after contacting the leasing company, I forwarded them on the copy of my contract and Merchant Lynx will be stuck with the terminal charges. Come to find out the machine only cost to purchase 800.00. Sales reps pockets moving for signing a contract.

My advise to anyone stay clear of Merchant Lynxs.

Flesh eating virus on your money!

This company will call and ask you to let a rep come by and show you how they can save you money. The will show you so-called savings and then try to sell you a terminal. I suggest that you pass.

Fact is they are just setting you up to get close to your bank account. They have an UNSATISFACTORY rating with the BBB. Check it out for yourself. 87 complaints in the last 12 months.

They will lie and say they will pay you $350.00 to leave the current merchant you are with. They will threaten to sue you if you choose to stay and not transfer with them.

They will tell you that you are signing an application when it is really a trick-bag contract. If you are having problems with this company, I suggest you close your bank account and start over with a new one. It's a small inconvenience, but think of the headaches you will save, plus thousands of dollars.

The Worst Credit Agency In The WORLD! Scam Artists!

There is a credit proccessing agency out there by the name of Merchant Lynx, or Merchant Scam! We had a salesman, and his name was Peter, by the way, this is in NJ, who promised us the world with this company and how we would save so much money with them. He said we had to get new terminals and we specifically asked if there were any fees and he said no!

We decided to use their service, and a week later we received a bill from First Global Data Leasing for $235.00 for taxes for the 3-year lease on the equipment. We contacted the sales rep and he said not to worry, that he can override any charges on the account. It should be free!

They promised us only a monthly service charge of $69, but it turned out to be with First Global Data Leasing, the equipment provider, which he repeatedly said there were no fees, but we had no idea we were even signing up with two other companies, these are other than Merchant Lynx. The two other companies were First Global Data Leasing and iPayment.

He never overrode the charges, and now we have a problem with FGDL, which they say we have a 3-year lease with, which we do not, there was no such name on the contract. We did not even know because he kept telling us there were no fees, but we constantly asked him.

We had to close out our checking accounts and open new ones to avoid these charges. Repeated phone calls to the rep went unanswered, all of our efforts were wasted on that sales rep, that scam artist.

We lost some money in the proccess, but we were not about to give in to this kind of a scam. If anyone wants to file a class action suite against this company with us, feel free to contact us by commenting on this page, leave any contact information and we will take it from there. Help us put this company in place because they won't stop scamming people, and in the end, we are the ones at fault, not the scammers. Any testimony against this company is beneficial, so if you have been scammed, please help us put these crook scammers away.

I would like to be part of the class action suite againest this company Merchant Lynx. I was also cheated in almost the same way as you did.

I was told the credit card machine is part of merchant lynx monthly service fee and if I don't take the machine I will still be charged 69.99 even though I told the scam artist Peter Rhee that we have a existing machine already, but he persuade me to get the free machine, it turned out the machine we received is leased for 48 months plus tax would be 3600.00 plus!! the *** artist never mention to me about that.

please let me know how you would go with this, I hate to see other people suffer as I did, it is really hard earned money we make, thank you for your time. gary977@aol.com
